Synopsis :
After get a great job in Runaway,
Andy get many changes in her life. In the beginning, Andy get many problems
that makes her has to her appearance. After that, she can enjoy her job. But,
other problems come from herself. What happen with her life? Can she has a good
career in Runaway and get success there?
Plot :
Introduction
Andrea "Andy" Sachs (Anne Hathaway), a girl who
never cares about her appearance just wants to be a success journalist, get a
job as a junior personal assistant to Miranda Priestly (Meryl Streep) “ The
Dragon Woman”, in Runway magazine, a famous
company, that dominate all fashion in the world. Million girls would kill for
that job.
After she works in Runway magazine,
everything in her life was changed. She has to do very busy day. She has to
confront her boss with everything impossible that she want. She also get
problem with another employee in that office. Everyone talk about her
appearance. She wears old clothes everyday and it to be contradiction with
everyone in that office.
Climax
One day, something terrible happen. Andy makes a mistake and
Miranda very angry at her. Andy can’t get a flight for Miranda that night and
it makes Miranda have to pass an event. Miranda can’t control her emotion so
that she says some rude words include about Andy appearance. It makes Andy very
sad. Fortunately, she can move with the help from Nigel, an art director who is
very kind at her. After that, Andy makes a big change in her life about her
appearance. She looks more beautiful and can’t believe that.
Andy gets many big problems after
get success in her job as a Miranda’s assistant. Everything is busier than
before and she can take a free time to spend with her friends include her
boyfriend, Nate. One time, she can’t attend Nate’s birthday party because she
has to do something. Nate thinks that Andy is not as same as like before. Nate
gets angry at her, and they have to break. In the other hand, her friend saw
her when a man kissed her in a party.
Ending
Everything can be
many big problems in her life. Since that, she aware that she can’t be a
success career woman in Runway. Her career can’t make Andy happy. She has to
lose much happiness in her life. Finally, she resigns from Runaway and be
herself and get her happiness again with her boyfriend and her family.
Comment :
Actually, this is a good movie that
gives us some lesson about life, especially for woman. Yet this movie is not
match to watch by young people because there are some vulgar scene that doesn’t
good for young people.
